Laser Radar
The Metris Laser Radar is the only solution available that provides automated, non-contact measurement capability for large-volume applications of up to 60 meter radius. The new generation of metrology instruments precisely measures large-scale geometry without requiring photogrammetry dots, laser tracker spherically mounted retro-flectors, retro-reflectors or probes.
Key Features
- Non-contact: no photogrammetry dots, reflectors, or probes
- Very large measurement volume: up to 60m range
- Expanded line-of-sight around & behind objects using mirrors
- Laser line scanning and single point CMM measurements
- Stand-alone system or part of an integrated inspection system
- Integration of multiple laser radars in one measurement set-up
- Rapid data collection: up to 1,000 points/sec
- Patented coherent laser radar technology
- Flexible: uses standard CAD-based inspection software
- Automatable: script measurement tasks & report generation
Key Benefits
- High measurement throughput
- Lower resource costs
- One man operation
- Reduced fixed tooling requirements
- Portable system enables on-site measurements
- Minimum set-up time
- High accuracy measurements
- Enables difficult or previously impossible metrology jobs
Applications
- Inspection of aircraft component manufacturing & assembly
- Automotive part inspection
- Integrated inspection of tooling & assembly
iGPS
The iGPS is a modular, large volume tracking system enabling factory-wide localization of multiple objects with metrology accuracy, applicable in manufacturing and assembly. iGPS is mainly used by aerospace manufacturers, but is also adopted by automotive and industrial manufacturers both for positioning and tracking applications.
Key Features
- Integrated with 3rd Party software such as Spatial Analyzer (SA)
- Transmitters expandable from 2 m to 300m volume size
- Indoor/Outdoor GPS application
- Fixed and portable receivers (vector bar)
- Unlimited number of client setups
